RV Park Map

What a free RV park map costs the park.

Usually nothing, and here is exactly why. Plus what it costs when a park would rather have no advertisers, because that is an option too.

Who pays

Local businesses near your park. A restaurant, a laundromat, an RV repair shop, a golf cart dealer, a realtor. Each buys a spot on the back of the map for twelve months. Their money covers the design, the printing, and the shipping. That is the whole arrangement, and it has worked since 1986.

What the park gets

  • A map of the park drawn from your site list and an aerial photo, every site by number.
  • Your rules and camp information laid out on the back, in your words.
  • A print run sized to your yearly guest count, shipped to your office.
  • A digital copy for your website and booking confirmations.
  • Free reorders on sponsored maps, printing the current version, for as long as the guide runs.

What the park agrees to

Two things. Hand the map to every guest at check-in, and let your staff point guests to the advertisers on it when they ask where to eat or where to get propane. The advertisers are paying for that referral. Most parks were already recommending those businesses; the map just puts it in writing.

What the park controls

Which businesses appear. If one does not fit your park, say so and it is not placed. Most parks hand us a list of places they already send people, and our sales team starts there. You also approve the proof before anything prints, and you can keep the back for rules only if you would rather have no ads at all, the way Trinity View Resort and Howdy Y'all did.

If you would rather not have advertisers

Some parks want the back of the map for their rules and camp information only. Trinity View Resort and Howdy Y'all RV Resort chose that. In that case the park buys the print run, and we quote it by park based on the number of maps. The map is the same. The design work is the same. The only difference is who paid for the printing. We also offer this when we cannot fill the advertising spots near a park, so the park is never left without its map.

How reorders work

When the office runs low, you reorder. The reprint carries any changes you have sent since the last run: new sites, a new bathhouse, a new rule. The advertisers' spots run for twelve months, so reprints inside that window cost the park nothing.

What to watch for

Ask when the map will be done, and get a real date. Ask what happens if the ad spots do not sell. With us, we tell you, and you choose: wait for the next round of sales, or buy the run at the per-map price. Ask to see maps the company has made for other parks. Ours are on the examples page, front and back, as printed.
